Today at work we were all so excited to watch the solar eclipse, even if it was partial from TLS. In the Jena and Tautenburg area a maximum of only 12% of the disk of the sun got covered by the moon. And definitely all of it got covered by the clouds! We were so lucky to have good weather conditions! After the eclipse ended, it started pouring down!
Below some pics taken with a smartphone, through the eye-piece of the telescope (with sun filter) and from special solar eclipse glasses. Sometimes the clouds helped in our attempts to photograph the eclipse, acting as a natural filter. Still, we were very careful not to look directly at the sun with naked eye! Always through a filter. Enjoy!
