Today I presented to the TLS radio group the draft paper on the evolution of the radio luminosity function of group galaxies in COSMOS (Vardoulaki, Ghassem, Novak et al. in prep.). In simple words, we study how the light emitted from the galaxies inside X-ray galaxy groups in COSMOS (Gozaliasl et al. 2019) changes from low to high redshifts, within the volume the occupy, and how it compares to the light coming from the radio population observed with the VLA at frequency of 3 GHz (VLA-COSMOS; Smolčić et al. 2017). In less simple words, we calculate the radio luminosity function of group galaxies and its evolution in redshift, and compare it to the radio luminosity function of the total 3 GHz population. We further calculate the contribution of extended radio AGN (Vardoulaki et al. 2021) to the total radio luminosity function. We do find some very interesting results, so stay tuned for more!
